Custom Clothing sales office in Miami is seeking a full time Seamstress/Tailor who excels in his or her trade, possessing a talent for delivering the finest tailored clothing with excellent attention to detail.

Employee must be able to work quickly in a fast paced office environment.

Tailor Job Summary:
Performs alterations as directed for our clients' high end garments and delivers professional finished garments on time.
Demonstrates knowledge of fabric and standard tailoring concepts and procedures with quality workmanship for men's and women's garments

Tailor Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Manages all interactions with professionalism
Tracks detailed alteration production daily
Performs alterations on all garments submitted for alteration, presses finished garment, removes threads and completes for client ready
Completes all work in a timely manner to ensure customer delivery date
Maintains clean work environment and maintains all required paperwork related to daily assignments

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of tailoring experience in a retail or customer-service environment
Strong working knowledge of garment construction in men and women's apparel and ability to perform high quality workmanship including hand and by machine
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Self-starter
Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently with strong organization of time

Working Conditions:
Standing or sitting for long periods of time
Fast- paced environment
Adhere to all policies as outlined in the Office Support Manual and all Company practices and procedures

  • Answers questions from Sales Professional regarding sales gained or lost and explains procedure and application to the specific situation

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong computer skills. Ability to 10 key is a plus.

Job Duties

  • Answers all email and phone correspondence concerning alteration requests.
  • Coordinates daily shipment of alterations in a timely manner.

  • Orders additional fabrics, linings, and patterns necessary to replace component in garments.
  • Documents and releases remakes via email.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by manager.

Job Requirements

Sales Assistant

Part-time position

Seeking a proactive and results oriented individual to provide direct assistance for busy sales leader in our custom clothing sales office in Minneapolis. This position handles all details, organization, and communications for our top producing Sales Professionals. We seek candidates who are team players and can be self-directed on independent projects as well.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Answer phone calls and assist customers when needed
Handle any customer issues
Perform data entry when orders are completed or changed
Follow up on sales leads/schedule calls for leads, referrals, and clients
Answer general questions about product
Respond to emails, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence
Promote and sell products and services
Know and explain promotional offers going on throughout the season
Maintain client database and sales pipeline
Confirm meetings
Prep clothing, folders, referral lists for all appointments
Sending follow up thank you notes to clients
Pick ups and drop offs at clients offices
Keep daily inventory records of clothing that has arrived at the office
Prospect new people to help grow our business

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Computer savy with efficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
Must have an ownership mentality with the ability to multi task
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Valid drivers license with good driving record

An offer of employment will be contingent on the applicant satisfactorily passing a background check.

HOURS AND COMPENSATION:

This position is part-time (29 hours per week) with a starting pay of $15 per hour. Our business hours are Monday through Friday 8 am - 6 pm. Your days may vary. We are looking for someone who is available to start immediately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expedites orders on overnight shipments and corrects problems such as codes and sales tax.
  • Resubmits credit card information; releases orders, enters rejects, refers unusual situations to supervisor for resolution
  • Reviews and discusses overdue client payments with each Sales Professional monthly
  • Reviews payment problems for various retail locations
  • Assists retail locations with problems and exceptions such as discounts and special pricing for substitutions
  • Researches problem and makes appropriate corrections
  • Answers questions from Sales Professional regarding sales gained or lost and explains procedure and application to the specific situation
  • Performs miscellaneous filing, data entry, and information retrieval 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong computer skills. Ability to 10 key is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicate skills
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Good business math skills

WORK EXPERIENCE  / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma and one year of related experience is required.
  • Associates degree and two years of related experience preferred.

Part-time position

Custom Clothing sales office in Detroit, MI is seeking a part- time Seamstress/Tailor who excels in his or her trade, possessing a talent for delivering the finest tailored clothing with excellent attention to detail.

Employee must be able to work quickly in a fast paced office environment.

Tailor Job Summary:

Performs alterations as directed for our clients' high end garments and delivers professional finished garments on time.
Demonstrates knowledge of fabric and standard tailoring concepts and procedures with quality workmanship for men's and women's garments

Tailor Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Manages all interactions with professionalism
Tracks detailed alteration production daily
Performs alterations on all garments submitted for alteration, presses finished garment, removes threads and completes for client ready
Completes all work in a timely manner to ensure customer delivery date
Maintains clean work environment and maintains all required paperwork related to daily assignments

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of tailoring experience in a retail or customer-service environment
Strong working knowledge of garment construction in men and women's apparel and ability to perform high quality workmanship including hand and by machine
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Self-starter
Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently with strong organization of time
